Improving the Future for Children with Learning Differences

Each day from 8:30am check-in to 4pm pickup campers will be split into groups in order to work closely with their counselors.

These groups will rotate through different activities throughout the day including but not limited to art projects, team building activities, sports games, and high adventure activities.

All activities are geared towards helping students realize the abilities that they already possess in order to put them to use inside the classroom. Camp Vision is being offered for $225/week. Campers should be prepared to bring their own lunches.

Artwork
at Camp Vision is all part of an art empowerment curriculum designed by professional artists specifically for the use of this program. Campers will work along side our counselors, all of whom are successful college students who also have LDs, to create art projects with school related themes.

Sports and games including but not limited to kickball, softball, capture the flag, and flag football will allow students the opportunity to work as a team to reach a common goal. Further, such sports allow the campers the time to let loose and enjoy their summer through physical activity.

Academic “work” will center on each camper’s Independent Learning Experiment, or I.L.E. Campers will come to Camp Vision with their own vision- a topic that they would like to learn more about. Each day they will be given time to find more information on their I.L.E through various types of research. This will then be used to create a project which will be presented to family and friends during Friday’s graduation ceremony.

High Adventure Activities will be determined by enrollment numbers and will take place during one full day of camp. Any and all activities will be in a controlled environment supervised by qualified professionals.
